Manufacturing of export version of armored troop-carrier BTR-152E was started in the USSR in 1956. They were shipped mostly to the Middle East countries. BTR- 152E1-ZU-23-2 modification was very popular and widely used. This version of BTR-152E took part in combat actions in Lebanon in 1982.
