To train drivers, T-55C machine based on T-55A tank was designed. The first variant T-55C1 was a tank without armament with a plugged gunport. All other components remained unchanged. Armament equipment was dismantled. The space freed was used to arrange a place for an instructor with duplicated driver control. Tank weight was reduced by 6 tons and the maximum velocity was increased up to 73-75 km/h. The tank has two crew-members: a instructor and driver. Track-width mine sweeper KMT-6 is designed for antitank mine-field crossing. It can be used at all types of Soviet medium tanks: T-55, T-62, T-64, T-72, T-80. The standard scope of supply of the sweeper includes two plow assemblies, two lifting gears, electric equipment, hoist, hookup device and set of spare part, tools and accessories.
