During WWII German army used many kinds of vehicle. The famous one Krupp truck is developed in 1929, on the basis of good experience with the L3 H63, a cross-country truck equipped with an engine 4-cylinder cooled by air. The development was finished in 1930 and this model was produced in series as type L2 H43. The truck was improved in 1936 with a more powerful engine L2 H143, and was capable of speeds to 70km/h. And featured unique 6x4 independent suspension on coil springs with rear 4-wheel drive. The type was manufactured during 6 years and served as personnel carriers and gun tractors. These vechicles were introduced into the Wehrmacht and other units to provide mobility during the World War II. Approximately 7,000 Krupp Protz light truck were served to battlefont (France, Poland and Russia). The scale model kits in the personnel carrier model. |
